We are attacking a very large and growing problem: the term “epidemic” is appropriate when describing tooth decay in children ages 1 to 5.
Bearing in mind that tooth decay is a disease of the family, not just of the individual, the tools available to us must include EDUCATION and PRODUCTS.
Education must focus on the development of oral-healthy routines in the family.
Products must offer Xylitol as a replacement for the mineral fluoride.
· Families with an Autism Spectrum or Down Syndrome member.
· Families where the mother is expecting a child, or there are children under 5 years old
· Families who are disadvantaged because of low income, geographic isolation, or other reasons.
We are an Ohio nonprofit corporation with a tax-exempt ruling from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
We will seek grants and prizes from sources that have a passion for helping the following:

Improving health care for disadvantaged communities and dental clinics that serve children and disadvantaged families.
What We’ll Do With Funding
1. Execute Our Mission with Purpose and Discipline.
Our team is comprised of seasoned professionals who are results-driven. With funds entrusted to us, we will execute our Mission aggressively. We are “prevention-centric” as contrasted with “treatment-centric” and this distinction dominates our orientation to the families we are seeking to serve.
2. Collaborate with Food Banks and Organizations Serving the Autism Spectrum and Down Syndrome Communities.
We will actively seek out and collaborate with organizations already serving our target clients—those populations that need us most. These partnerships will involve joint outreach, co-branded educational efforts, and shared distribution of preventive products. We will seek individual and joint grant proposals to grow the number of persons who have access to our critical service.
3. Practice Responsible Financial Stewardship
Frugality is a core value. We will manage funds carefully and transparently. We will use an outside public accounting firm to report our revenues and expenditures to applicable agencies.
4. Measure Outcomes to Maximize Impact
We believe that “you can’t manage what you don’t measure.” We will implement tracking systems to monitor progress and outcomes. Our key performance indicator is the substantial reduction of dental cavities in families—an outcome that improves health, reduces cost, and enhances quality of life.
